Volunteering at SVNH

The Volunteer Services Department at Saint Vincent's is fortunate to have a team of over 60 individuals and community groups assisting in many areas. Our volunteers believe in the Goals and Mission Statement of Saint Vincent's and in the following:

• in the dignity, worth and uniqueness of every person;
• in the respectful and individual treatment of each person;
• in contributing to the compassionate care in a home-like and nurturing environment; and
• in learning from and working with other people.

Volunteer Positions

Volunteers are needed to help out and assist both residents and staff with a variety of activities. Volunteers accompany residents on outings, to medical appointments and help with many other special events and activities. the following are some of the areas you could volunteer in:

¨ Pastoral Care - Chapel, Eucharist Minister, Lector
¨ Palliative Care
¨ One/One Visits
¨ Escorting residents to Appointments
¨ Meal Companion
¨ Physiotherapy Aid
¨ Recreation Programs
